
As the pandemic continues, many doctors are concerned about the wave of mental health issues caused by extensive social isolation and anxiety about what the future could hold. Many physical issues, like a lack of protective gear and coping with disease, could all directly affect a person’s mental health. Psychiatrist Dr. Jessi Gold of Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis said we are already seeing how this pandemic is affecting mental health. Gold spoke with PBS NewsHour’s Amna Nawaz about how to cope with mental health concerns during this pandemic.
